jaff  > Computers > PC Build
After spending a bit of dosh on a new PC build... and then discovering that the stock CPU cooler was a bit ordinary and upgrading to a new one... and then finding out that the CPU cooler was enormous... I decided to get a new case, replacing my faithful Lian-Li PC-65 that had served me fantastically for the past 10 years.

Here are some pics of the process of removing the new parts from the old case and transplanting them in to the new.

Shiny new PC case. As yet, untouched.
Dismantling the new PC out of the old PC case. It was still easy as pie to work in.
Final confirmation that video cards these days are ridiculously huge things.
Motherboard and PSU successfully transplanted in to the new case. Brain had a minor freakout - they seem to put the PSU's at the bottom of the case these days, rather than at the top!
Hard drives added in - easy as due to tool-less design. Power hooked up and starting the cable routing process to ensure clear airflow and neat appearance.
All cabling now connected, including ridiculous power requirements for the video card. Quite impressed with how neatly this came together.
Front view of the newly completed case build. Front fans I decided to add on to increase airflow. Super quiet fans in an effort to keep noise to a minimum.
Also added a fan to this side to keep nice cool air flowing under the CPU.
The final product. Fans aren't so visible to the naked eye - flash really just brings them out.
